Geeks of Doom. En serio. They call themselves GoD for short. How awesome is that? It’s a geek entertainment site created by Eve Conte (Empress Eve) and David J. Seligman (Dave3), two geeks after my own heart. They’re trying to bring us all together as a single force. ¡Piénsalo! Who could possibly be more powerful than an obsessive-compulsively organized (chaotically, por supuesto) group of technology wizards, creative thinkers, genius gamers, comic cravers and the occasionally subtle, yet lethal, knitting needle. Nadie.
So, aquí estoy, mulling over what geeks could possibly do over the holidays. Obviously avoiding your constant persuasion and manipulation to wiggle your most wanted gadget into your stocking this year. Desde la Navidad pasada when you started planning that attack. Finally, I received a message from GoD.
Fellow geeks, hace frío. Stay inside, wrapped in your favorite crocheted afghan with el mejor geometrical pattern. Fire up that laptop, as if you weren’t already checking Facebook, and stream “the best Christmas-themed episodes from some of Geek culture’s greatest shows.” GoD gives the website from which you can stream these episodes and tells you where you can buy them for download and safekeeping.
Yes, llegamos un poco tarde. It started on December 1st. But it’s only the 13th, and you’ve got 12 more days to bask in the 25 Days of Geek TV Christmas 2010. And who says you can’t put it in reverse and download the ones we’ve missed? So far, they’ve featured Christmas episodes from Chuck, The Office, Batman: The Animated Series, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Smallville, Veronica Mars, Community and 30 Rock. We’re already excited and they haven’t even posted day 13 yet. Don’t waste anymore time and take a break from all that devious manipulation you’ve been doing.
Come closer to GoD, aquí.
