New Obsession: MSNBC’s Body Odd

A few tech sites have written about a woman who, 25 years ago, swallowed a felt-tip pen. This year she came in for stomach surgery and the pen was still in there, and not only that, it still writes. That’s one hell of a writing instrument for you.

But for me, the most beautiful thing to come out of this woman’s stomach is my new familiarity with the Body Odd, a website devoted to anomalies like this one. Another story? How a woman’s breast implant simply vanished into her body while she was doing Pilates (another reason for me not to exercise–not that I have implants, but I’m always looking for excuses).
