Two ‘Man of Steel’ trailers released!

Posted by

Superman won’t hit the big screen until Summer 2013, but fans got a tease of what they can expect this weekend.

The trailer depicts a gloomy Clark Kent adrift in the world; it looks like he’s trying to find his place in life (reminds me of Bruce Banner). Kent is obviously a stranger to this world, trying to figure out what to do with these superpowers.

At the end, the video offers a glimpse of Superman in all his glory, shooting into the sky and breaking the sound barrier – fucking epic.

Jack Snyder (300 and Watchmen) directs this reboot, with the help of Christopher Nolan (The Dark Knight Rises). Nolan’s influence is apparent in the trailer; it’s no wonder the trailers look so dark.

There are two slight variations of the trailers. One features narrative by Clark’s adoptive father Kevin Costner (above), while his biological father Jor-El (Russell Crowe) voices the other (below).

“Man of Steel” will hit U.S. theaters on June 14th 2013.
