Steampunk Xbox 360 Controller For Sale on eBay

Posted by

We’ve all seen Steampunk console controllers before, but there’s something about this subculture that doesn’t get old. eBay seller, trioxin kustoms has created a disgusting-looking Xbox controller by altering a 1940′s typewriter.

tek-lado, teklado

According to the seller, an original Xbox 360 controller was disassembled, sanded and hand-painted to make it look like distressed wood. The back side was painted to look like old steel, while the bumpers were painted to resemble aged brass. The battery pack is the sickest, as it was adorned with a brass skeleton keyhole. To finish it off, the entire controller was coated with urethane automotive clear. The joysticks were transplanted from a late 1940′s typewriter, as were the A, B, X, Y buttons.

The seller has apparently accumulated some hours of gameplay to ensure that the controller performs properly. The current bid is $261.00, and the auction ends July 28th at 22:26:17 PDT, so best act quickly if you’re in the US or Canada. Head over to its eBay listing to place your bids.
