The Protean Echo may very well be the future of credit cards.   It looks like a flashy platinum card, but it’s oh so much more.  With this card and a smartphone, you can leave your bulky wallet behind.

The Echo has the capability to function as any card you own in just a few simple steps.

1. Scan your cards using a reader that connects to your phone
2. Use the app to load up to 3 cards onto the Echo via Bluetooth
3. Touch a sensor on the Echo to choose which card to use
4. Swipe the Echo like you would any ordinary credit card

The Echo, powered by dynamic strip technology, mimics the magnetic strip of any card.  The app can store as many cards as you need.  Echo is expected to launch this winter for $80 – $100.

Though the Echo is geek gadgetry, you’ll look sexy and all-powerful every time you swipe.
