Cloak Yourself: Halloween Coziness

Posted by

It’s officially October, which means it’s officially time to start planning the perfect Halloween costume.  Presenting Cloak Yourself, Tek Lado’s guide to costumes for the geek-minded.

Remember Halloween back in the day?  After a chilly evening knocking on doors, consuming an entire pumpkin’s head-full of sugary goodness, you crashed and moms everywhere tucked in tiny ninjas, princesses and He-Men.

Coziness

We’re bringing you a geek sampling of costumes you can live in.  A hoodie, some PJ’s, anything cozy enough to wear for 7-10 hours of screen time, something you won’t mind passing out in.

Let’s begin with some cozy character hoodies.  These costumes require minimum effort, transforming you in a single added layer of clothing.  Plus, you can show your fandom by wearing them throughout the year.

There’s SpidermanCaptain America, and Iron Man if you want to do some crime fighting this Halloween.

Of course there’s a slew of Star Wars hoodies.  Check out Darth Vader, Storm Trooper, Princess Leia, and of course Chewie.

There are favorites from way-back-when like Optimus Prime, Grimlock, Ninja Turtles, Shredder, and My Little Pony.

There are options for gamers, as well.  There’s Mario’s Flying Racoon Suit, Tyrael from Diablo, plus Murlock, Panda, and Monk hoodies if you’re into WoW.

Maximum Coziness

If that’s not cozy enough, try some PJ’s.  When Halloween’s over, you can wear them all day every day, as long as you never leave the house.

There’s the classic Superman and Batman PJ’s with Tank Top Versions for the Ladies, Papa Smurf or the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man.

Luckily, Japan’s love of kigurumi has trickled over to the US bringing us cozy PJ’s in so many animal forms.  Get creative and enjoy a cuddly Halloween dressed as a Frogger, Starfox, a Red Panda Monk, Hello Kitty, or a Dancing Hamster.
