Canadian documentary filmmaker Rob Spence is now able to record video—in his eye. Spence lost his eye in a childhood accident. As an avid fan of The Six Million Dollar Man, he was inspired by looking at his cellphone camera. He hopes to use the footage gathered from his “Eyeborg” camera for a film project. Meet Chyi-Yeu Lin, the singing robot head from the National Taiwan University of Science and Technology in Taipei. By taking photos of written music, she can extract the information to her synthesizer, allowing her to sing. We’re warning you, she could definitely use some vocal lessons (or reprogramming).
