2011 has come and gone, leaving a stack of backlogged games and discarded Christmas trees in its wake. Despite our need to finally spend some quality time with Skyrim, there’s no stopping the video game release schedule. It seems like every year is purported by someone to be “the best ever” and we’re sure 2012 will be no exception. This [...]

I managed to play more games in 2011 than any year before it (38, in total). It’s nice to see just how good the large majority of those games were. As the industry moves forward, the standard of quality is going higher. Publishers seem like they’re getting more used to the idea of releasing games outside of the three-month holiday [...]

We also put up our tax [...]

Google Shoot View allowed players to play a First-Person Shooter using neighborhoods captured by Google as the background for the game and using people displayed in the maps as targets. Google took immediate action. The Dutch agency Pool Worldwide received a warning from Google that GSV was in violation of Google Maps Terms of Service. Pool is now blocked from [...]

If you had plans to spend time with the family this holiday season, think again. Before you open a present, light a candle, bake a cookie, or spin a dreidel, Bioware and EA would like a word with you. You see, there’s this game. Nothing major, just an MMORPG nearly four years and $135 million in the making that stands [...]
