The sequel to J.J. Abrams’ Star Trek reboot was originally supposed to come out on June 29, 2012. We all know this didn’t happen because Abrams’ has had his hands full with a dozen other projects. It was previously suggested that Abrams was to direct the sequel, but had not committed or set a date for production to start. Now, it’s confirmed. Star Trek 2 will not make its original June 2012 release date, but production is set to start this winter. Source: Vulture Blog
